NoisePower make a range of vibration products. In general these are for therapeutic research. Some are designed to apply vibration to the foot (mostly used in research into gait Freeze in Parkinson). Others can be used for general study/ action of vibration to the human body. The general arrangement is the vibration motors are on flexible PCB, with a USB rechargeable battery and a bluetooth connection. The assumption is all calculation algorthms will be done in an Android mobile device (eg A mobil phone). The phone typically has a lot of sensors like IMU, temp, access to internet, can detect walking , sound light etc There is significant power saving activity in a phone, so it makes sense to connect the sensors / actuators to a phone via blue tooth and have processing power conductd on the phone. ( This also leverages the linkage of android to linux and large amount of linux code written for many Bio Engineering activities). This is the suggested starter. You get two of the Vib01 singles, fitted to cardboard insoles, another card insole pair, and a template made of Acrylic glass fibre. This can be used as a template to cut your own insoles - ie holes in correct orientation. In addition, get spacers for electronics and an EVAfoam heel pad.
Pair with our App- and can be running experiments in 30 minutes . You can reprogram code via the 10way SWD interface. (Programmer needed).
This is the single standalone, includes the bluetooth module and the vibration motors. Out of the box, put on charge via the USB socket, We suggest as a replacement for one of the kit Comes singularly. Note: To demo android app needs 2 to be able to vibrate. Source code is published- so you can recompile for one- or use an app such as Lightblue. Can reprogram code vai the 10way SWD interface. (Programmer needed).
This is Vib_02 mounted in a case with a chargeable battery and an ankle holder. This is the device that talks via bluetooth to the phone and drives the motors on the flexi cable. Note it still needs either Vib02- 5 motors or Vi02 for a functional system. This is for 1 leg only- you will need to buy two to cover both legs (The app on the phone automatically needs two- or you can use other apps like "Lightblue").
This is the 5 vibration motors on a flexi PCB. The flat FFC cable is part of the Vib02-controller. Combined with the Vib02-controller this is all you need to assert vibrational energy into a foot (or elsewhere). On a nylon substrate -can be cut to size - use.
This is the single vibration motors on a flexi PCB. The flat FFC cable is part of the Vib02-controller. Combined with the Vib02-Controller this is all you need to assert vibrational energy into a location. note: this is on a nylon substrate with a 0.2mm FR4 under the motors. Can easily be cut to size.
